If you're ever looking for a GDPR-compliant form and survey tool I can not recommend Tally enough. It's built and managed by indie developer couple Marie & Filip in Belgium.
99% of features are available for free. But yes, I pay the very affordable price of €250 per year.
Remember though, GDPR compliance doesn't stop with the tool you choose, it also depends on what you ask for, how you ask and how you manage the data after collecting it.
Juicy rust nightly feature

hello friends and new friends.
a reminder to NOT censor words when you type them out.
There is no algorithm to remove "bad posts" it's all just chronological.
And there are filters in place that you have to use the exact spelling for. So if you use asterisks instead... then the filters can't work.
Just spell the word out. And, if it's that bad, put it under a CW.
Okay, it's time to tell new users a secret about Mastodon.
Mastodon is (whispers) part of a much bigger network 😮
Mastodon servers use an open standard called ActivityPub to talk to each other. That's how you interact with people on other Mastodon servers.
But, dozens of other federated networks also use ActivityPub, so (this is the good bit!) you can follow people on these other networks from your Mastodon account!
Together, Mastodon and these other services form... The Fediverse
(whispers) Click on the link...
A few years ago I made this flow chart of which Mastodon posts end up in which timelines!
So, you can see how each instance will have a different local timeline, and even a slightly different federated timeline - and you can see why the federated timeline moves so much faster than the local one, too.
This is why it's important to boost good posts and use hashtags - the fediverse is fragmented and harder to search by nature.
I usually don't post a lot on social media, but this place feels pretty different, so maybe..?
Another tip: Every Mastodon account has RSS built in. Just add .rss to the end of the URL for your account, e.g. firstname.lastname@example.org
That lets people follow your public posts from an RSS reader, but it's also useful if you wanted to use IFTTT to crosspost your public posts to another platform.
You know what, fuck it:
All Mastodon friends can watch "Getting good at SNES game through DLL injection" for free for 48 hours, via this friend link (it's me, I'm friend).
And send me some dang feedback!!
