What a long, strange trip it's been. Are we there yet?
#Rust wowed me so much I kept looking for ways to work it into #pubchat. But the #WASM WASI interop just wasn't there yet & realized I'd be an idiot to learn by doing here.
Figured 
#nodejs was my best bet but its inconsistent new #ES6 (vs #CommonJS) module support + legacy code & kludges drove me batshit.
Enter #Deno, the #TypeScript-aware #V8 interpreter built in Rust.
It's got most (all?) mature #API - #fetch(), #DOM, #WebRTC, Workers, LocalStorage... Just less to juggle.
