I got confused by the date and was like, 1982? RSS isn't that old! Is that a bit?

Also: ISTR that Winer's blog back then was 80% bitching about the other fork of the standard and how mailing lists won't let you revise your posts to make people calling you out seem unreasonable.

(For *years*, I was like, 'Why is everyone so mad at him? He seems perfectly reasonable and polite.' Before I clued in.)

much love to the man but he (and most of his generation of the #openweb) refuse to do anything to help the fedi, and don't even explain why. I want to be nice but it feels like typical boomer shit.
