At #SocialHub we're preparing a great event in the form of two webinars and a workshop in April, for representatives of the European Commission.
The topics are #ActivityPub #Interoperability and #FediverseFutures within the EU.
Interest for the event came from EC itself, who via @NGIZero - funder of many great AP projects - approached SocialHub to organize.
You can help prepare and certainly join the Event!

I still wish Opera would open source their old browser code (they had their own code base until they jumped over to Google's engine)
From my POV, the more web engines and web browsers not based on Google code the better.

We need to double down on the ideas of Web 1.0, and the tools that make carving out your own place on the internet possible. Not more platforms luring you with that viral juice boost."
In essence, DHH is advocating for #Indieweb social actions vs. big platforms and I totally agree. And think the #Fediverse could benefit by building itself in this direction.
"Everything from everyone all the time is too much. It's unnatural and it's unhealthy. We weren't built to listen to hundreds if not thousands of people every day.
Tools that let individuals publish, but do not seek to amplify them or force them viral, give us that natural, human scale."
