Pro tip: when met with an early-20s "crypto king" promising to make you 10-20% biweekly gains, consider that he may not be a boy genius but may instead just be really, really dumb.

this reminds me of the Douglas Adams quote:

"...sometimes unusually intelligent and sensitive children can appear to be stupid. But...stupid children can sometimes appear to be stupid as well. I think that's something you might have to consider. I know it's very painful."

but, like, in reverse.

@web3isgreat I mean that applies with any kind of investment. It’s how the Ponzi Scheme works.

@web3isgreat I thought I remembered scanning a headline about this guy a few months ago. I was like, "Why does he sound so familiar?"

And there it is. 😂

@web3isgreat There's something incredible about reading "he lost most of the money he was given" followed by "in a series of margin calls"

He got money and immediately used that money to borrow more money he couldn't afford to lose. Finance people :blobcatgooglytrash:

@web3isgreat sounds like exactly the sort of dude you wanna entrust with $33mio. And here we're wondering, why average people fall for "give me $134.67 for postage and I'll transfer you $1.4mio of 'your inheritance' asap" spam mails, when so called 'professionals' shovel their money at "10 to 20% profit every other week with 0 risk of losing your money" scams.
